The Downtown Denver Arts Festival continues to be dedicated to supporting Colorado visual artists while showcasing a select group of national artists. Downtown Denver Arts Festival holds its annual premier event each Memorial Day Weekend. The fine art and fine craft exhibition features over 100 of Colorado’s best artists along with a select group of national artists while over 125, 000 people are expected to attend.
We will be celebrating our 16th Anniversary in 2014 and after moving back to the DPAC, we look forward to once again being at our original home at the Denver Performing Arts Complex at Speer Blvd. and Arapahoe Street. Many of you may remember the event when it began as the Celebrate Colorado Artists Festival. The original vision of the event is still to promote artists that call Colorado their home while also showcasing juried national artists. We are expecting the 2014 festival to be the best yet. The quality of the art was exceptional in 2013 and the crowd showed their appreciation by spending over $500, 000 with the artists.
Dates: May 23 - 25, 2014

Sorry!! Dh is talking about Denver or east coast
But Im such a water baby, I love nature and I want my kids to grow up with it too.
I've been to Seattle in September. I was there for the long weekend and stayed in Carnation. I loved it and it only rained on the day we left.
We spent the weekend at the Bumbershoot music and arts festival and it was one of the best times I ever had.
I just want to make sure my kids get access the things I value - like nature, water sports etc.
Thanks for your responses - nothing is serious yet, we are more looking where we are willing to move. But I think dh is interested in going north.
I need tips on making dessert-type waffles.
Here in Denver we have a phenomenal arts festival that ended yesterday. Culinary arts are a big part and vendors are awarded prizes in the entree and dessert categories.
The dessert winner was a waffle with cream cheese, cranberry compote and whipped cream. My little girl got one with caramel and strawberries. She was in heaven. I, on the other hand, didn't think they were crunchy enough. The fruit made them soggy. The waffle was very sweet.
Though culinarily challenged, I think I can improve upon this process. I would appreciate your ideas and possibly a recipe.
