- The Historic Owego Marketplace is excited to announce that the 34th Annual Strawberry Festival is in the works! The Festival, like always, is the 3rd Friday and Saturday in June. This year it falls on June 20 from 5:30 -10:30 pm and June 21 from 9 am-5 pm. This annual event is host to over 30, 000 guests each year; offering plenty of yummy food, outstanding entertainment and activities on every street corner, a wine, beer and spirits tent, contests, an exhilarating 5K run, an impressive parade, and up to 200 vendors. This year the festival has two new co-chair people, Sandy and Fran Dunbar who formerly organized the festival many years ago. Sandy and Fran are owners of Dunbar Antiques and The Erb Lady, 68 North Avenue in Owego. With the assistance of the committee members, they plan on making this festival the best yet! Fla. Investigate Deaths After Zoo Visits
ORLANDO, Fla. Mar 23, 2005 â Five children were in critical condition with kidney failure and may have picked up a rare infection at petting zoos, health officials said.
Four children were hospitalized after visiting the Central Florida Fair, which ended in Orlando on March 13. A fifth child was stricken after going to a petting zoo at the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, which also ended March 13.
